PKRA Germany I

competitionsPosted by Christophe Tack Mon, July 19, 2010 10:31:54

PKRA St peter ording, Germany

The Kite Tour Europe has been a succes this year for so far so I had 1 motivating event year. Thats why i competed at the pkra again to see how my level is against the big guys, the real work.

Like every year we need to do trails because to many german guys are competing ( just kiddin! Haha ) I passed the trails without any problem.

I did some regular stuff that i’m always landing.

My position in the singles was not that good, I had to go against mike blomvall in the first round. I hadn’t a good heat at all actualy.

I did a Slim, front blind mobe, blind judge 3, mobe to wrapped, switch lowmobe and slim. I crashed a lot ( dubble sbend pass, switch frontblind mobe, nis,..) and my landings wherent realy clean.

Still I won with a 3-0 decition because my kite position was better. So I’m pretty stoked!

Now I’m against the world champion kevin langeree!

Also Liquid Force 2011 kites and boards are here, it will be another great year! Stoked about the new gear.

Also check the small trailer on the upcomming 2011 website www.liquidforcekites.com

All the best,

Tack

KTE Switserland

competitionsPosted by Christophe Tack Tue, July 06, 2010 12:17:11

The 4th tourstop of the KiteTourEurope was held in Switserland/lake Silvaplana.

Silvaplana is a beautiful place, located +-1800 m Above sealevel. This makes Silvaplana the highest kitespot in Europe.

The temperatures outside are warm and the water is pretty cold.

The mountains around the lake makes it an unique kitespot and I`m sure next year I will stay a little bit longer to go mountainbiking, running,...

Enough talk about the beautiful location, let`s talk about the competition!

I had some nice heats with my hifi comp 13m, the wind was light but enough to do all my tricks.

My best heat was against Victor Borsuk from Poland. He was riding very well and did a lot off switch tricks. I won the close heat with a lot off tricks! Frontmobe, front blind mobe, blind judge (3), kgb, kiteloop slim, backmobewrapped, shifty 3, NIS, Slimchance, lowmobe, switchlowmobe and more!

Then I had to go against Alberto Rondina , who won all the KTE Events, I didn`t forced myself this heat because I wanted to go for the 3th place against Stefan Permien.

I was getting realy tired because of the attitude and I didnt eat anything because I didnt had anytime.

I ended up 4th and Im stoked about that! Hopefully I will end up top 3 afterall in Poland!!

Lets see how it goes, In 2 weeks I`m going to sint peter ording , Germany for the PKRA.

Let`s see if my level is high enough to compete against the highest level freestylers!

Tack

KTE Sylt

competitionsPosted by Christophe Tack Tue, June 29, 2010 16:00:39
I was looking forward to the KTE in Sylt, I wanted to have some hardcore conditions with big waves and strong winds!

During my exams I had a full week of wind for my 7, 9 and 11, I learned a lot off new tricks and I was doing 2 sessions a day with a break to study.

To bad the wind didn't show up in Sylt..., It was 1 week of SUP, some party's and a lot doing nothing...

I've passed all my exams and tomorrow I will recieve my diploma! Finally!!!smiley

At the moment I'm searching a way to get to Silvaplana, hopefully I will find a solution!

Tack

( Sorry, no pictures... We did nothing a whole week hahah )

KTE Noordwijk

competitionsPosted by Christophe Tack Wed, May 26, 2010 19:23:09
KTE Noordwijk! 1st, 5th or top 8?

Kiteboard open has always been an nice event so I was looking forward to it. It’s always fun to see all my dutch friends again and my sponsors.

Saterday we had some wind for 13 meters, I played around with a liquid force skate and when the wind picked up a little bit they started the freestyle men singels.

I landed my regular stuff in my heats; slimchanse, nis, blindjudge, lowmobe, 313, ... notting special or sick because everybody was pretty much underpowerd on there biggest kites haha

In the quater final I faced my dutch friend and mystic teammate Bas Koole. Unfortunately the judges/organisation stopped the event. My thoughts where that they had to complete the singels with the light wind...

Monday at 5 A.M. we had skippersmeeting, I didn’t whent to the party and there was no wind. I slept under my kite for some houres because I didn’t wanted to miss my heat if the wind picked up.

The wind didn’t showed up so now i’m top 8, or 5th with everybody, or i’m 1st with 7 others. Well, is the glass half full or half empty...?
You decide, I don’t care :)

I had fun and i’m looking forward to some strong winds in Germany!

Currently I'm 3th in the overall ranking

5th place in Austria

competitionsPosted by Christophe Tack Mon, May 10, 2010 12:38:05

The month May will be a very busy month for me. I will have 3 competitions in total. First I want to say thanks again to my school ( Vesalius Instituut Oostende ) It’s my last month of school so I have a lot of schoolwork and it’s a lot of organisation to study, travel, keeping in touch with my teachers,...

Europe Tour Austria is the 2nd competition I did this month.

I went to Amsterdam thuesday night to meet with Tijn van Esch and Jerrie Vandekop. We had a funny travel and meeted Bram Bast and Emiel Rense on the road. Slept in my tent on the parking of the macdonalds,...

There was a problem with my preinscription for the comp and there was a change I couldn’t compete this stop, it was 3 houres of stress for me. I was thinking about booking a flight back if I couldn’t compete!

Luckely I could inscripe togheter with Bram. No stress, nicee!!

The first day of competition was nice, we had some offshore conditions for 9 and 7 meter kites, the area was 1 km offshore so the wind was pretty guesty but still ok.

Some wise words from Mike Shitzhofer: It doesn’t matter what kite size you take, it will be wrong!

All heats whent ok, I was able to do my normal tricks, Slims, NIS, blindjudge 3’s, ... Even if the wind was pretty guesty and the water was choppy, I was satisfied!

In the quater final I had to go against Mario Rodwald, German champion and a first class party dancer!

He was riding realy constant, and I was crashing the whole time.

Couldn’t focus because I was pretty disapointed in myself, Even if he is much better it isn’t nice to lose your heat with more crashing than landing hahah

At night we had some fun on a trampoline and I bruised my elbow.

The guys from strandkliniek helped my elbow with some weird stuff called lymfe tape. The idea it to lose the presure in my arm by removing all the fluied in my arm. It did help so Thank You very much!

The wind didn’t came so I’m 5th. We had some awesome party’s and I had a cool time in Austria.

Because of my small injury I'm not going to France so the next competition will be the KBO

Keep you up to date and have fun!

Belgium youth champion again

competitionsPosted by Christophe Tack Sat, May 08, 2010 11:28:45
Hi Guys,

Haven't been updating my website because I'm very busy with a lot off stuff.

Past weekend was the belgium youth championship again.

I was on the poster so that was pretty cool.

I won the youth championship again, for the last time because next year I'm 18.

We didn't had a lot off wind, only the last day the wind picked up out of nowhere. We did 1 expression session.

I did a kiteloop slim, NIS, frontmobe, huge backside 540 crash, moby dick and some other stuff.

I'm happy with my belgium champion titel again and with my 2nd place at the open competition.

Currently I'm in Austria for the europe kitetour.

I'll keep you up to date!

Is very irresponsable

NewsPosted by Christophe Tack Mon, April 26, 2010 18:04:02
Hi Guys!!

Small update on my website!

I've been busy a lot lately, school, kite and a lot of other stuff!

Next weekend is the belgium youth championship, then I'll go to Austria, France and the Netherlands in the month may for competitions.

Here is a small movie from my irresponsable behaviour in Denmark.

There was not enough wind so Flor Decloedt and I decided to do some dune jumping.

Hln.be reporter Steven Alen made a small report!
