It was
nice to stay close to family and friends, to hang out on my local beachclub.

During my ‘days off’ there were some more ‘local’
competitions in Belgium and The Netherlands.

 First event was KiteboardOpen (KBO).

We (to all my friends) had a blast!!! I’ve judged the
competition for the juniors and competed in the Pro event. The level of the new
generation is getting better and better!!

Surprising was Dylan van der Meij, who could compete for the
last time in the Roekies. He kicked everybody’s ass and ended up with a well-deserved
1st place.

Liquid Force team rider Stijn Zwarts (15?) was surprising a
lot of people too by doing shifty 3’s, blindjudges and more.

In the pro division I ended up 2nd. It was a fun
expression session for a half hour. I was able to land a LOT of frontside
720’s. I just wanted to throw down a 900 before Aaron Hadlow put’s his 900
series vid online. Mission failed but hey :) !!!

Ending up 1st was Bas Koole ! By having a lot of
variation and throwing down a big kiteloop slimchance!

It was also nice to see Ruben
Lenten back on the water!

After the KBO I judged the Dutch Junior Championship. Again,
I was surprised how fast the young kids are learning.

Last event I did was the Ostend Kite Battle. It ended up
being a great event, 3 days of fun in the water!!

First day was the freestyle. I’ve ended up 2nd in
the Single elimination. 2 times Ex Belgian Champion and Liquid Force team rider
Steve Verelst won over me by doing a huge sbend pass and frontmobe pass.

I really wanted to win from Steve in the doubles. Did
everything I could and won 2 times. Such a great feeling and I performed well
during my heats with pressure!

 Results:

 1 me

 2 steve verelst (LF)

 3 Axel Tack

 4 Stijn Zwarts (LF)

 5 Sam van Olmen (LF)

4 out of 5 are Liquid Force riders! Represent guys! :)

The second day we had a fun waveriding freesession with
everybody and the 3th day I won the SUP race contest and was able to land my
first backside 360 on a strapless surfboard!!
(backside flat 360)

2-times World champion Long boarding (surf) antoine delpero
showed everybody how to surf and had one of his first kite lessons. Future
waveriding champion? who knows!?

Thanks a lot to everybody who
supported the event and who helped organizing it!!!

Going to Fuerteventura for the PKRA on the 27th
of July. Looking forward to it!

For the people who haven’t seen it yet, the 2012 Liquid
Force Promo video is out!!

 Hi guys,

It’s been a while since an update on my
blog.

A lot of things happened since my last
update.

From Brazil I went home for 3 months, only
kited a few times in very cold conditions so I was quite out of shape hehe.

The first PKRA Event was held in Hua Hin,
Thailand. I didn’t expect a good result since I didn’t kited much past 3
months.

 During the
trails my level was quite low, but I progressed a lot after a few days.

 My result for
Thailand, 9th place! A nice
surprise!

After Thailand I went home for a few days
to chill, then off to Daklha, Morocco for the second stop of the PKRA tour!

 The spot is
really unique, a nice lagoon in the Sahara dessert!

My goal was to end up 9th again!
I had to go against Cesar Portas ( who won over me for the 7th place
in Thailand )

 Cesar won over
me again so my result for Daklha is 13th place.

 I went to
Tarifa/Spain afther Daklha to practice togheter with Ian Sleuyter ( pkra judge
), Sam Van Olmen ( Teammate and videographer hehe ), Axel Tack ( my brother / taxi
driver to the best spots since he was the only one with a drivers licence ) and
Marc Jacobs ( Kiwi – Euro in progress and PKRA top competitor )

 We had some
great days riding together ( aswell with Alex , Bruna, Youri, and more! ) To
bad Sam had to leave earlier after crashing a huge kiteloop and breaking his
ribs.

 The conditions
in Tarifa were pretty similar to the conditions in Leucate, France. I wanted to
have a good result at the PKRA in France.

 I had some bad
luck and some very strong riders( Cesar, again…, and Alex), I ended up only 25th. My current overall ranking in Freestyle is 15th, not so bad I think.

 In the best
trick discipline I had more luck and ended up 2nd! My plan, try to
do the biggest kungfu pass , it worked out well :)

 Last travel,
Cabo Verde, for the 2012 Product shoot from Liquid Force.

 I had some
great time there and it was a pleasure to meet the crew!

 Currently I’m
chilling at home, seeing my friends back and riding together at home.

 Also I would
like to thank:

 -Michel from kiteschool/shop ‘Direct kite’
( Hua Hin ) for fixing a nice hotel.

-Alvaro aka alavala for helping me out so I
didn’t had to pay 200 euro’s for my boardbag :)

-Simon from kitefever.eu and Liquid Force (
Markku, Michael, Gary) because they made sure I had a new set of kites for
Morocco since my boardbag didn’t arrived on time! -My sponsors, Liquid Force and Mystic, for making this possible!

 All the best,

 Tack

It’s been a while since I updated my website... sorry for
that!! I've been quite busy and had a lot of things on my mind.

Here is a small report of what I’ve been doing lately.

My last news item was since the PKRA. I’ve ended up 13th
since I had to go to Poland and I couldn’t finish the competition.

After Poland I did a movie project togheter with: Henning sandstorm
(Sweden, LF), Jan schiegnitz (Germany, LF), Olivier Panny (Austria, LF ), Tom Schuller ( Germany ) and Torben ( Germany
)

The movie project is named ‘The
boys went out’ and it will be a documentary about or lifestyle as a
kiteboarder. We went to Denmark to shoot some footage and lifestyle. Afterwards
the filmcrew went to Belgium , Sweden and Germany to film a portrait of us as
riders, to shoot some action at our homespots.

Check out: http://liquidforcekites.com/belgium-rockz-feat-shigi-and-christophe/ for some pictures of the weekend in Belgium.

After the movie project in Denmark I went to Poland for the last tour
stop of the KTE.

All the riders wanted to perform good for the last event so the
competition was on!!

I had to face Mike Blomvall again and I had a good heat, winning again
from him! Awesome! :)

I ended up 4th in the Singles and there was no wind for the
doubles.

My overall result in the kite tour Europe for 2010 is 4th,
I’m really happy with my result since I didn’t had any time to train during the
winter months.

My last competition I did was the Belgium championship (open).

I had quit a hard time since my beloved Grandfather passed away the day
before the competition. I just tried to
put my emotions under pressure and focus to end up 1st so I could
give my family some good news.

All my heats went well and I was able to win from Steve Verelst, I won
the event.

I was stoked to be the new Belgium Champion ( junior and open men ) for
2010.

Since October I’m also studying at the university of Ghent. It’s a new
challenge for me, traveling and studying on my own. Let’s see how that will turn out…

Currently I’m in Brazil, Cumbuco, to practice my ridingskills for the
2011 season.

I’ve got the new 2011 gear and it’s sick!

I will try to post more regular again!

 All the
best and enjoy life as it comes,

peter ording, Germany

 The Kite
Tour Europe has been a succes this year for so far so I had 1 motivating event year.
Thats why i competed at the pkra again to see how my level is against
the big guys, the real work.

 Like every
year we need to do trails because to many german guys are competing ( just
kiddin! Haha ) I passed the trails without any problem.

 I did some
regular stuff that i’m always landing.

 My position
in the singles was not that good, I had to go against mike blomvall in the
first round. I hadn’t a good heat at all actualy.

 I did a
Slim, front blind mobe, blind judge 3, mobe to wrapped, switch lowmobe and
slim. I crashed a lot ( dubble sbend pass, switch frontblind mobe, nis,..) and
my landings wherent realy clean.

 Still I won
with a 3-0 decition because my kite position was better. So I’m pretty stoked!

 Now I’m
against the world champion kevin langeree!

 Also Liquid
Force 2011 kites and boards are here, it will be another great year! Stoked
about the new gear.

 Also check
the small trailer on the upcomming 2011 website www.liquidforcekites.com

Silvaplana is a beautiful place, located +-1800 m Above sealevel. This makes Silvaplana the highest kitespot in Europe.
The temperatures outside are warm and the water is pretty cold.
The mountains around the lake makes it an unique kitespot and I`m sure next year I will stay a little bit longer to go mountainbiking, running,...

Enough talk about the beautiful location, let`s talk about the competition!
I had some nice heats with my hifi comp 13m, the wind was light but enough to do all my tricks.

My best heat was against Victor Borsuk from Poland. He was riding very well and did a lot off switch tricks. I won the close heat with a lot off tricks! Frontmobe, front blind mobe, blind judge (3), kgb, kiteloop slim, backmobewrapped, shifty 3, NIS, Slimchance, lowmobe, switchlowmobe and more!
Then I had to go against Alberto Rondina , who won all the KTE Events, I didn`t forced myself this heat because I wanted to go for the 3th place against Stefan Permien.

I was getting realy tired because of the attitude and I didnt eat anything because I didnt had anytime.
I ended up 4th and Im stoked about that! Hopefully I will end up top 3 afterall in Poland!!

Lets see how it goes, In 2 weeks I`m going to sint peter ording , Germany for the PKRA.
Let`s see if my level is high enough to compete against the highest level freestylers!
 Tack
( The first 3 pictures are made by Jan Schiegnitz, LF teammate, Thank you so much! )

During my exams I had a full week of wind for my 7, 9 and 11, I learned a lot off new tricks and I was doing 2 sessions a day with a break to study. To bad the wind didn't show up in Sylt..., It was 1 week of SUP, some party's and a lot doing nothing... I've passed all my exams and tomorrow I will recieve my diploma! Finally!!! At the moment I'm searching a way to get to Silvaplana, hopefully I will find a solution! Tack ( Sorry, no pictures... We did nothing a whole week hahah )

Kiteboard open has always been
an nice event so I was looking forward to it. It’s always fun to see
all my dutch friends again and my sponsors. Saterday we had some wind for 13 meters, I played around with a liquid
force skate and when the wind picked up a little bit they started the
freestyle men singels.  I landed my regular stuff in my heats;
slimchanse, nis, blindjudge, lowmobe, 313, ... notting special or sick
because everybody was pretty much underpowerd on there biggest kites
haha In the quater final I faced my dutch friend and mystic teammate Bas
Koole. Unfortunately the judges/organisation stopped the event. My
thoughts where that they had to complete the singels with the light
wind... Monday at 5 A.M. we had skippersmeeting, I didn’t whent
to the party and there was no wind. I slept under my kite for some
houres because I didn’t wanted to miss my heat if the wind picked up. The wind didn’t showed up so now i’m top 8, or 5th with everybody,
or i’m 1st with 7 others. Well, is the glass half full or half empty...? You decide, I don’t care :) I had fun and i’m looking forward to some strong winds in Germany! Currently I'm 3th in the overall ranking Christophe big thank you to ydwer.com

I will have 3 competitions in total. First I want to say thanks again to my school ( Vesalius Instituut Oostende ) It’s my last month of school so I have a lot of schoolwork and it’s a lot of organisation to study, travel, keeping in touch with my teachers,... Europe Tour Austria is the 2nd competition I did this month. I went to Amsterdam thuesday night to meet with Tijn van Esch and Jerrie Vandekop. We had a funny travel and meeted Bram Bast and Emiel Rense on the road. Slept in my tent on the parking of the macdonalds,... There was a problem with my preinscription for the comp and there was a change I couldn’t compete this stop, it was 3 houres of stress for me. I was thinking about booking a flight back if I couldn’t compete! Luckely I could inscripe togheter with Bram. No stress, nicee!! The first day of competition was nice, we had some offshore conditions for 9 and 7 meter kites, the area was 1 km offshore so the wind was pretty guesty but still ok. Some wise words from Mike Shitzhofer: It doesn’t matter what kite size you take, it will be wrong! All heats whent ok, I was able to do my normal tricks, Slims, NIS, blindjudge 3’s, ... Even if the wind was pretty guesty and the water was choppy, I was satisfied! In the quater final I had to go against Mario Rodwald, German champion and a first class party dancer! He was riding realy constant, and I was crashing the whole time. Couldn’t focus because I was pretty disapointed in myself, Even if he is much better it isn’t nice to lose your heat with more crashing than landing hahah At night we had some fun on a trampoline and I bruised my elbow. The guys from strandkliniek helped my elbow with some weird stuff called lymfe tape. The idea it to lose the presure in my arm by removing all the fluied in my arm. It did help so Thank You very much! The wind didn’t came so I’m 5th. We had some awesome party’s and I had a cool time in Austria. Because of my small injury I'm not going to France so the next competition will be the KBO Keep you up to date and have fun! Tack
